Depozza is a peer-to-peer storage marketplace. These Terms set out how the platform works, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you. They form a binding agreement between you and Depozza S.à r.l., the Luxembourg company that operates the service.
Every booking is a written service agreement — no hidden clauses, no surprise fees.
Your first month is held in escrow until move-in is confirmed. Hosts are paid on a fixed monthly cycle.
Every active booking is covered by our partner insurer up to the limit of the plan you choose.
1. Accepting these Terms
By creating an account, listing a space, or booking storage you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms together with our Privacy Policy.
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
- If you act on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
- We may refuse, suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law.
2. What Depozza does — and does not — do
Depozza operates the platform that connects renters and hosts. We verify identities, hold payments in escrow, provide insurance and customer support. We do not own, inspect or manage the physical spaces listed on the platform.
- Hosts remain fully responsible for the condition, access and lawful use of their space.
- Renters remain fully responsible for the items they store and for declaring their contents truthfully.
- Depozza acts as an intermediary, not as a warehouse operator or carrier.
3. Bookings, payments and escrow
A booking creates a monthly storage service agreement between the host and the renter. Depozza facilitates payment through licensed payment providers and holds the first month in escrow until move-in is confirmed by both sides.
- Prices are shown in euros (€) and include applicable VAT where required.
- Bookings auto-renew monthly until cancelled by either party with the notice period shown in the listing.
- Depozza charges a transparent service fee, always shown before checkout.
4. Prohibited items and uses
To protect hosts, neighbours and other renters, some categories of items and activities are not allowed on the platform. Hosts may add further restrictions in their listing.
- No hazardous, flammable, toxic, radioactive or illegal substances.
- No live animals, perishable food, cash, firearms, ammunition or counterfeit goods.
- No commercial or industrial activity inside the space without written consent from the host.
5. Liability and insurance
Each active booking includes insurance coverage provided by our partner insurer. Coverage limits, exclusions and the claims process are described in the policy linked from your booking page.
- Depozza's total liability is capped at the value of the insurance coverage chosen for the booking.
- Hosts and renters are responsible for following the booking agreement and applicable local laws.
- Indirect, consequential or commercial losses are excluded to the maximum extent allowed by law.
6. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a booking at any time from your dashboard. Refund rules depend on whether move-in has been confirmed: cancellations before move-in are fully refunded; afterwards, the standard monthly notice period applies.
7. Disputes and mediation
If something goes wrong, contact our support team first — most cases are resolved in under 48 hours through our mediation process. If we cannot find a solution, you keep all your rights under Luxembourg and EU consumer law.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service evolves or when the law requires it. Material changes are announced by email and in-app at least 30 days before they take effect, so you always have time to review them.
9. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The courts of Luxembourg City have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
